Housel Bay hotel is perched on natures edge, at the most southerly tip of mainland UK. A largely undiscovered part of Cornwall, filled with dramatic and untouched wild beauty. Opening in the summer of 1894, the Victorian architecture was designed by famous Cornishman, Silvanus Trevail.
Be guided by the seasons, from slow summer evenings in the garden to winter starlit skies and cosy storm watching by the fire. Do a lot, or simply nothing at all. Let the rhythms of nature restore you.
The Cornish Coast Path runs through the hotel gardens and provides access east and west to many of the most stunning locations in the British mainlands most southerly county. The tidal beach can be reached from steps directly from the property.
Every room has an en suite bathroom and a TV for guests to enjoy, and some also have a seating area. Please note, our images show the room types not the specific room you are booking.
Housel Bay Hotel offers two unique restaurants serving breakfast, lunch, afternoon tea and dinner. The Terrace features panoramic views of Housel Bay, a beautiful garden and the stunning Lizard Peninsula. Fallowfields restaurant has been awarded three rosettes, features an open kitchen, and offers a special tasting menu experience. Guests can enjoy local drinks in Marconi’s bar, the Snug or in the beautiful garden with endless sea views. There is a yoga studio available forguests, and a hidden beach just steps below the hotel.
The hotel day starts from hour 16:00 and ends at 11:00.
King Panoramic View. All of the Panoramic View rooms have uninterrupted, wall to wall views of the sea and Cornish coastline. They are the most spacious rooms at the property, andfeature a seating area located in front of the bay windows with direct sea views. All of these rooms are en-suite and have free high speed WiFi. Theycontain a flat screen SMART HD televisions, vanity areas with a hairdryer, teacoffee making facilities and a comfortable king-size bed. All of our Panoramic View rooms feature Super King size beds. Please let the property know of any requests in the special requests box at time of booking and they will try our best to accommodate you. This room type is not dog friendly. ;
King Ocean View. The Ocean View rooms are a cosy double, and are perfect for a short getaway, offering an open wardrobe and a comfortable and uncluttered space ideal for guests packing light.of the Ocean View rooms also offer a view of the garden and the South West coastal footpath. We hope the epic view makes up for the 1980s style bathroom suite. All of these rooms are en-suite and have free high speed WiFi. Theycontain a flat screen SMART HD televisions, vanity areas with a hairdryer, teacoffee making facilities and a comfortable king-size bed. This room type is not dog friendly. ;
Country View. Our Country View rooms have beautiful views of the Cornish countryside. These rooms have contemporary interiors, views across the surrounding countryside and coastal inspired wet room bathrooms. This room type has free high speed WiFi, contains flat screen TV, teacoffee making facilities, vanity area with a hairdryer, and comfortable double bed. This room type is not dog friendly. ;
Roomy Country View - Twin. Our Roomy Country View rooms have contemporary interiors, extra space to unwind, and beautiful views across the surrounding Cornish countryside. Our most spacious Country View rooms, they come with coastal inspired wet room bathrooms and can be made up as twins on request.of these rooms are en-suite and have free high speed WiFi. They contain flat screen TV, vanity areas with a hairdryer, teacoffee making facilities and a comfortable super king-size bed. This room type is not dog friendly. ;
Cosy Room. Our Cosy Rooms are designed for short stays after walking the South West Coast Path. A calm and comfortable space for guests travelling light and perfect for resting after a day exploring the Cornish coast. While storage is limited in these cosy rooms, we do have open wardrobes and you’ll find everything you need for a comfortable and relaxing stay This room type has free high speed WiFi, contains flat screen television, teacoffee making facilities, vanity area with a hairdryer, and comfortable double bed. This room type is not dog friendly. ;
Family Room. The double room is north facing, with no sea view. It has a contemporary, fresh look, including ‘wet room’ bathroom. This room has an en-suite and has free high speed WiFi. It contains a SMART flat screen TV, teacoffee making facilities, vanity area with a hairdryer, and a comfortable bed. Please note; there is no view in our Family Rooms, if you are looking for a view we recommend one of our other rooms, otherwise, you can soak upthe epic views inour shared spaces during your stay with us.
